I used to have a pair of shoes similar to the green and black ones but in light blue. Got sent home from school for wearing them.

I suppose everything goes round full circle eventually. Pity, if I still had hair I could re-grow my mullet! 🙂
I had similar shoes – can you blame me? I’m only five foot and if the others were wearing plateau soles and I didn’t, I would get a crick in my neck! Love the blast from the past!

Yes! I love the peruse vintage shops and remember the time.
On the whole it wasn’t a great decade, but it was quirky in terms of fashion. I sometimes cringe when I see the clothes I was wearing back then.
I see a poster of Bowie as Ziggy Stardust in the bg. I remember him at the Hammersmith Odeon.
Very envious I couldn’t get a ticket. Possibly his greatest ever performance.
I lived near Hammersmith at the time so I was lucky to get a ticket.
How could you even walk in those shoes? 🙂 Isn’t it funny how often fashion will come around again even if slightly different?

White corduroy suit with bell-bottom pants (sewn by my bride, who also made her own dress, the bridesmaids dresses, and the groomsmen’s purple corduroy jackets… and more) white shirt, lavender satin bow tie. Stylin’!
